Description and specifications
Product features
Certified fire resistance: protection of steel and concrete structures for up to 4 hours. Lightweight: 4–5 times lighter than concrete with equal fire resistance, reduces structural load. Strength and durability: high resistance to mechanical impacts, non-destructible. Easy application: applied by spraying or troweling, suitable for on-site installation and modular fabrication.
Purpose
Fire protection of steel structures in all types of buildings, indoors and outdoors, at air humidity up to 100 %. Complies with ST RK 615-2-2011.
Composition
Dry mix of expanded vermiculite of a specified particle size distribution, cement binder and modified additives.
Fire resistance and thickness
Fire resistance ratings from 30 to 240 minutes. For example, 4 mm for 30 minutes, 25 mm for 120 minutes, 48 mm for 240 minutes. Minimum layer thickness is 3 mm.
Application
Mechanized application only: Hopper pneumatic sprayer or plastering units, air pressure 6–8 atm. Water consumption is 55–60 % of the dry mix volume. A layer of up to 25 mm in 1–3 passes, temperature not below +5 °C.
Substrate preparation
Removal of rust, mill scale and contamination, then GF-020 or PF-021 primer. For outdoor use a moisture-protection layer is required before application.
Drying
Full drying of a 25 mm coating at +20 °C and humidity up to 85 % takes 28 days. When working outdoors, the coating must be protected from precipitation for the entire drying period.
